If you see droppings along the floorboards or behind your refrigerator or find food boxes chewed up in cupboards, you most likely have a rodent  infestation. Most of the time our technicians see rodents creating their nests in attics and crawlspaces with the existing insulation. To do so they will pull down, destroy and contaminate the insulation. Rodents can also chew on electrical wiring creating a fire hazard. They will make their way inside your living areas looking for food. All the while contaminating the surface areas with the potential to spread disease. A rodent infestation inside a building can also be a source of airborne contaminants. A lot of times folks have breaches in their ductwork that will help move the contaminants along in the home’s air space. 

An adult mouse can fit through a hole the size of a dime. If there is a gap in your foundation or a space around your gas pipes that are the size of a nickel, a mouse or rat will find it.

I have been with Colonial for over 20 years. I won't say they are 100% perfect, but they have ALWAYS treated me fair and right! I had a mouse problem once and they responded better than I expected. I get a recurring ant problem but I live on land that was a forest mixed with swamp. Ants are not the worst problem I could have considering that. If the ants come, Colonial gets me treated in a very timely manner. Usually when we get rain after a dry spell so I'm sure when I have ants coming in, there are several people with the same issue! I'm not much for "Brand Loyalty" so if I've stayed with someone for 20+ years, you know they are doing something right!!!
