Termites swarm during the spring/early summer and at rare times during the fall season.
Termite swarmers are small black insects with wings. They are commonly mistaken for flying ants.
Termites have a cigar shaped body with grayish wings that have a dark hardened vein toward the front of the wing.
Termite swarmers are future king and queen termites leaving a mature colony to start a new one. It takes an average colony 5 to 7 years before they will produce swarmers.
The presence of termite swarmers inside your home indicates an infestation in your home.
The non-presence of swarmers does not mean a home is not infested.

Testimonials of Termite Renewal Customers
"I've had a contract with Colonial for 10 years now. I am very happy with the service that has been provided and wanted to let you know. Recently I had my annual inspection done by Chad and a follow up estimate to replace some wood in the crawl space by Tom. Both of these guys were extremely thorough and took the time to more than adequately answer all of my questions about all things related to their work and my home. Nice job. Thank you to Chad and Tom for the service they have provided and to all others that have come out to my home over the past 10 years."

"Steve found a major leak in our shower floor while performing an inspection. Two of your employees, Mr. Tom Shenk, and Jodi were assigned to replace the shower floor. Because these men are competent employees, they were able to perform their jobs in a friendly and completely professional manner. Not only did Mr. Shenk and Jodi do a profession job on the shower floor and tiled wall, Mr. Shenk expressed concern over the amount water damage to our home that seemed unusual. This concern lead to the discovery of a large leak in the shower wall, his expertise in his field resulted in resolving a serious problem that would have cause extensive damage to our home. I realize how valuable these employees are to me and am grateful to Colonial. Employees like these men are crucial in promoting confidence in Colonial. I appreciate their efforts.
